Big Palladium Fan myself! Are you guys planning on doing a play cast of Rifts? You mostly only see D&D Playcasts and it would be nice to hear someone’s take on Rifts.

Hey guys, digging the podcasts and yeah like Ben said…is there going to a playcast? There aren’t any Rifts playcasts of note that I know of.

Hey guys, great show. Really easy to listen to. Just thought I’d pop in. My name is Matthew Daye (my name is already out there so no point hiding it) and I’m the host of the currently hiatus’d Gateway to the Megaverse. If you guys would like I would be more than willing to do the ’special guest’ bit to chat about palladium and the games.

Great show, just one complaint. There is no Game Masters Guide for RIFTS, its the Game MASTER Guide, as in the MASTER guide to the game. A Game MasterS Guide is like a Dungeon Masters Guide, in that it has information exclusively for a Game Master, and that is not at all what the RIFTS Game Master Guide is about.

Sorry, listening to the show while generating characters for the HU game I’m running at the Open House next week and catching things along the way.

Recon was not the first game published by Palladium, The Mechanoid Trilogy was, in comic book form. RECON was independently published by RPG, Inc. in 1981, and later picked up by Palladium.

Gaah. Another. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness RPG was a product Palladium Books done upon a license agreement with Mirage Studios, which was also based in Detroit; Kev was good friends with Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird as they went to all the same conventions. The license was for an RPG and supplements, nothing more. There was no litigation/potential litigation between Palladium and Bandai or any other party regarding this license, but it was eventually dropped because the popularity of the Turtles waned, largely due to the ‘kidification’ of the property by the cartoon and subsequent toys.
